MFM Pastor, Regional Overseer Daughter Kidnapped In Akure Ondo State

The daughter of MFM Regional Overseer in Ondo state, Pastor Olatunde is still in the net of some suspected kidnappers who abducted her last week Monday while returning from school in Akure. According to police investigation, 13-year-old Belove Olatunde was returning from Ileriayo nursery and primary school in Ologede area of Akure on Monday when she was kidnapped. Belove who has difficulty expressing herself is yet to be found. Ondo state Police spokesman, Femi Joseph said the State Police command will do everything possible to secure her release.

Gates, in an interview with the CNN, said that the Federal Government’s investment in education and health was not good enough. “While it may be easier to be polite, it’s more important to face facts so that you can make progress,” the philanthropist told a room of Nigeria’s government elite that included the President. Team Nigeria Departs For Gold Coast For The Commonwealth Games

The first batch of 70 athletes and coaches left Abuja at about 6pm on Saturday aboard Emirates Airline for the Gold Coast as the XXI Commonwealth Games village opens today. 46 athletes in athletics, para-athletics, table tennis, para - table tennis, basketball, gymnastics, para powerlifting, weightlifting, boxing and 17 coaches, loaders and helpers as well as 7 medical personnel made the trip at the weekend. The athletes were in high spirit at the time of departure as all allowances were paid to them. Each athlete received N15,000 per day for 21 days being the period of the last phase of camping.They were also given specific competition kit and equipment. Access Bank Plc has released its audited results for the year ended 31 December, 2017,with total Income of N459.1 billion, representing an increase of 20 percent over N381.3 billion recorded in 2016. The growth in total income was mainly due to a 29 per cent increase in interest income at N319.9 billion in 2017,(representing 84% contribution).from N247.2 billion in 2016. However, Profit Before Tax, PBT, declined by 11 percent to N80.1 billion in 2017,compared to N90.3 billion in 2016.This was due mainly to the adverse lingering effects of the macro factors on asset quality in the industry. Asset Impairment charges amounted to N34.47billion in 2017,compared to N21.95billion, in 2016.
